Earmold Styles for BTE Devices

Open FitOpen Fit’s
This has become the newest style of ear mold. The most discreet and open. We friction fit it inside the chamber of the mold. This will allow easy replacement for the appliance when needed. And a pull tab, along with a color dot for left or right side.


Skeleton - most commonly used earmold styleSkeleton
This is the most commonly used style. It can be used for low gain as well as for mild to moderate loss. It is available in all materials and in most colors.


Semi-skeletonSemi-skeleton
This mold is the same style as Skeleton, but is intended for patients that have discomfort in the concha area or have no concha at all. It is available in all materials and colors.


Full Shell - Medi-Flex Soft Acrylic (opaque)Full shell
This style of mold completely covers the whole bowl and concha areas to give a tight seal for those who need power. It is available in all materials and in most colors.


Half-ShellHalf shell
This style is the same shape as a full shell type, but cut in half allowing the upper part of the ear to stay free of any discomfort. This is available in all materials and in colors.


Canal LockCanal-lock
This is a discreet type of ear mold that completely sealing off the canal opening to retain sound with a retention hook to hold it in place. This is available in most materials and colors.


Canal TipCanal-tip
This type of style has no outer shell, leaving the ear piece practically invisible.This comes in all materials and colors.


Regular CrosRegular Cros
This mold has no canal and just a retainer ring for support in the concha area. The tube acts as a sound chamber in the canal.*
